The RockDogs are a veteran band featuring four skilled musicians who cover a diverse range of music through their virtuosity on their instruments and skilled vocal talents. But the real secret to their successful shows? Variety, High energy and Showmanship.

The RockDogs feature music ranging from Pop, Rock and Motown to modern Irish, hiphop and even a little country. With over 7 hours of material, the band is constantly mixing it up so that no show is ever the same. Our goal is to keep the music moving and familiar but also fresh by using medleys mixing classic songs of different genres in with some new favorites to keep the audience engaged and dancing. We call this doing it RockDog style!.

Meet the band!

Mel is the front man and has been rocking for over 40 years in the midwest. 

He plays guitar, percussion and harmonica.  Mel is an electric performer who will raise the energy in any room.

Steve is the lead guitarist and is also a tremendous vocalist. 

Steve and Mel were in the popular band FORCE OF HABIT in the 80's and 90's and they reconnected with the RockDogs in 2018.

Ed McDermott is the Bassist and has been a mainstay on the music scenes of Michiana and Chicago since the 1990's.  Ed's distinctive upper register vocals and stage presence add to the excitement the Dogs create at each show.

Mike Bruneau is the Drummer and another fantastic singer. 

Mike's powerful rhythm and singing voice take the RockDogs to a whole new level!

Private Events

Celebrations!  Milestones!  We will tailor our set list to be appropriate to All Ages or Adults only if necessary. The Dogs even play a set of Irish music if asked!!!

The Dogs have performed at Whitesox Park in Chicago, Notre Dame Stadium and many other pre-game events.  They are the unofficial official band of the Fighting Irish!
